Let’s see 1. He acquired Dresser Industries for Halliliburton. Unfortunately, he didn’t do any research and he wound up acquiring Dresser’s asbestos liability as well. This led to a financial fiasco, which was fixed by fraudulent accounting procedures. 2. Cheney’s fix was not revealed until AFTER he sold his stock. The stock then lost 75% of its value. 3. Five Deferments 4. When he was Secretary he awarded large defense contracts to Halliburton. He later became CEO of this company and has Vice President continued to grant Halliburton lucrative contracts. 5. Halliburton over billed the government (Message to republicans—that means tax payers) 6. He is currently under investigation by French authorities for bribery, money laundering and misuse of corporate assets while at Halliburton. 7. Did I mention he got 5 deferments? 8. His voting record: He voted against EVERY civil rights and environmental bill that passed his desk. While one may disagree with his politics, no one can say that Cheney is ignorant, spoiled, and simplistic -- as they can say about Bush. I strongly disagree with Cheney, but having him as President at least wouldn't *embarrass* me as having Bush currently does. Cheney, like him or not, is an adult.
