We surely all know about the final UN verdict on Iraq and WMDs. There weren't any but Hussein quite fancied having some.

Jenny17 condoned the attack in 54064. Mojo asked if desire to possess and possession are the same thing.

I say there is a huge gulf between the two (excuse the pun). Moreover, I'd give the justification of the war on Iraq a name. I'd call it THOUGHT CRIME. Another prophecy from Orwell's chilling '1984' has now become 'acceptable' as a reason to go to war on a high-profile international stage.

Is this labelling correct?

Yes - Iraq was attacked for Saddam's thought crime.	7

Ummm, last time I checked about a million Iraqis died due to his hands. I realize this is not the reason the Bush Admin. layed out for the war, but I think he had plenty of real crimes.
