In my ballot about what I should do since I got my walking papers from my last job it was suggested that I should run for President. As those of you know who are familiar with me on this site, I am gay.
Based on the number of homophobes I personally encounter I don't think the U.S could deal with me as President just yet but I wonder how long it will take to get ready.

well england already has a gay queen (charles) so i don't think it will take very long for people here to accept you as president...hell, i'll vote for you, you sound pretty cool to me.

I'm sure we have had at least several gay presidents already. The real question is, when will America be ready for an out of the closet gay president.

No, the U.S. has had ONE gay president, if we go by the evidence and not just innuendo. That one was the 15th, 1857-61, James Buchanan. The evidence would fill several pages on B&W but you can Google it if you care to.
