mojo, we just have to HOPE. Somewhere inside the man, there might actually be some nugget of common sense. I know, I don't believe it either. But it helps me get at least three hours' sleep a night...

I'm glad you AREN'T in the military, mojo, you wouldn't stand a chance in hell of making it. Putting that first choice about the National Guard up there was really pathetic, how do you think people who are actually in the guard would react to seeing such a thing? Realize this, the little bitches that whine and complain about being in the National Guard comprise MAYBE one out of a thousand, and those little assholes should realize that they signed up for this, this was their duty, and in the meantime the rest of the soldiers are doing their duty, proud of themselves and their country. No one likes to do the dirty work, these are hard times, but the soldiers in this country are doing what they are paid to do, and in most cases, doing what they joined to do. That was a bad attempt at humor, and if it wasn't meant to be funny, you really have problems.

No, it doesn't suck, your 'vision' is skewed by those left wing shades you are wearing. I didn't say you don't support the military, but you assume that by being part of one section of the military your life would suck, your's might, you wouldn't be able to handle it, that's fine.
Oh, and a vote for Kerry, is basically a vote against the military (funding, support, etc, etc, can you say Clinton, biggest downsizer of the military in the history of the United States?)
Jappy, this will be my last word to you on the subject.
I know a guy with a family who's in the Reserves. He isn't a whiney bitch, but he IS concerned about how long he's going to have to put his life on hold. And if a vote for Kerry = a vote against the military, then at least one fairly well-known World War II hero I know, a career military man who liberated prisoners at Dachau, must be against the military - but maybe you know something he doesn't??
I haven't a clue why you chose to misinterpret this ballot and attack me personally. If I were trying to *insult* the people on that list, it would include gays, people with no health insurance, soldiers, innocent citizens, the elderly, young people in poverty, sick people, and environmentalists. News flash - those categories describe people I empathize with deeply - - in fact, I fall into a couple of those categories myself.

Rumsfeld sent us into Iraq with insufficient force and then stubbornly denied we were undermanned for over a year, in defens eof his Lighter, more mobile Military.
And you're still stuck on Clinton.
PS: It wa Cheney who introduced many of the bills gutting the military spending. He even boasted about it to the press.
It's not a personal attack, it's my personal belief, maybe you'd do well in the military, but somehow I doubt it, if you think that's a personal attack, then so be it.
Something to realize, when it comes to this war on terror, most Americans believe in big guns, big bombs, and action. We became sick of the 'intelligentsia' of liberal action under Clinton singing Kumbaya and practicing diplomatic surrender after each of several attacks by bin Laden's cronies under Clinton's watch.
We the majority in this country also tired of blame being placed on our president by the left wing politicians for 9/11 itself, a terrorist act that Al Quaeda themselves admitted had been in planning for several years leading up to 9/11. I don't blame any president for this, but I would say that those who blame Bush need to look at his predecessor, if they do feel a need to blame a president.
There are two different America's residing within our great borders. On one hand you have the those with left wing agendas, who's narcissistic agendas leave them spinning like an ethical top, playing favorites to whatever is the bleeding heart flavor of the week, whatever the newspaper is printing that is new and 'fad-ish', yet completely forgetting about morality and security.
The majority of the United States sees past that, they understand that they might be sick, they might not even have health insurance, but they understand that it is their responsibility to take care of themselves, and there own, and in most instances, they do just that, knowing that programs to provide government handouts rarely work. With that thought in mind, why would we, the majority, want the government to run our health care??
We the majority may love our NASCAR, we like our guns, and maybe nothing is better for us than sitting down in front of the television on a Sunday with a bag of chips and the NFL on all day long, for we do so feeling very secure.
After all, we have the House, the Senate, and our man in the Oval office, and we did so with a more convincing majority than 4 years ago, and we have an grin from ear to ear.
Congratulations, majority. Perhaps now you'll stop blaming Clinton for everything that goes wrong in the next four years. ;-)
hmmm, what will Bush do next, or what will he won't do is the question.. hmmm
