culture : WHAT THE HECK ARE PEOPLE THINKING?

While riding home on the freeway from work this morning, i noticed to the right of me a group of long haired hippies with flowers painted on their faces, holding signs protesting against the Vietnam war. Further down the freeway i noticed a group of pro-choice people protesting against abortion. About another mile down the freeway was a group of animal activist protesting against me riding a camel home from work. What the hell is going on?

Yeah, this protesting is getting ridiculous. Everytime people try to build things near a highway, I see signs that read "End Construction."

Where I live, people are too lazy to protest by the side of a highway. They just place a bunch of orange barrels to make a point.
