Most of the homeless suffer from mental illness and need to be treated and cared for.
People like you and me. Remember that anyone of us is only two missed paychecks away from being in similar circumstances.
They make me feel better about myself
I think they add a nice ambiance to most cities.

I live in SF and work in Union Square - I never walk down the street without my walk-man on.
WOW - you know someone must be OLD when they say walk-man!
