COMMENTS:
I think that the Conservatives of both countries are arrogant and lack any sense of diplomacy. When conservatives are in power in one of these countries there is some tension. When conservatives are in power in BOTH, relations hit rock-bottom. Yet when both left-wing there is more harmony. That is what I have observed.
Bush and Chirac- typical conservatives: they both have superiority complex, the both don't know the meaning of diplomacy, both are extremely nationalistic, both are arrogant and act like they are born to order everyone other country around. In short, both are mean and devious conservatives.
Do commies get along?
In the end, the Frogs rub everyone the wrong way.
Probably. btw Their arrogance is one of the things I really like about them.
I'm NOT a fan of the French. Probably never will be, because my encounters with them have rarely ended well. But that's an aside with regards to this matter. Harmony between world powers stems not from commonalities between political parties, but through diplomacy between them, an art that Mister Bush has yet to master fully.
Probably. At least they'd have some common interests: like screwing over the american people.
herzog- what are you talking about? Who screwed over the American people?
cranky- You are the representative of 'everyone'?
Herzog is talking about how both the French and American Democrats screw over the American people.
^yep^ Or at least they make the effort, they aren't always succesful.
Republican_RightWing- I don't remember when the French 'screwed over' the American people.
They never did, but sure as hell would like to.
The alleged "tension" is to a degree bullshit. American, French and other man and woman in the street would be surprised at just how much the US and France co-operate behind the scenes. I believe some of this widely reported "Tension" is disinformation.
