COMMENTS:
No I've worked at minimum wage jobs, not only was it a choice I made (unlike slavery) but it is a wage. Most of the jobs that pay minimum wage are aimed at entry level skilled or teenage workers.

I have worked them as well, sure at the time i could have quit, but only to have another minimum wage job.

I think so. Unfortunately, it seems to be a toss-up between Medicaid benefits and working. People should be rewarded for working.

I've worked at minimum wage jobs as well, everygirl. Lucky me, it was when I was fifteen, and didn't have a family to feed and bills to pay. There are those who do, and don't have the abilities to pursue the further education needed to compete for those higher-paying jobs. May not be slavery in the classical sense, but the whip is wielded not by the supervisors at their jobs, but by the bill collectors.

Yes, in the sense that you are forcing businesses to hire people at a certain wage.

You get treated like crap when you have a low wage job too. In fast foodies the mgrs treat you like doo doo and 60% of the customers do too.

They'd go off and shoot someone but can't afford bullets.
