Target the media for glamorizing violence and making love a taboo subject. You can channel surf the television any time of day and see someone pointing guns at other human beings, but you can't flash a titty for even a second. Oh, that makes sense. The people that run the media probably jerk-off to holocaust footage. This makes no sense to me.
Don't turn a blind eye to corporate abuse of the environment (or encourage it). A 'culture of life' embraces the HEALTH and WELL BEING of future generations.

Let's reform our health care for the severly disabled and the elderly. It's horrible what we expect people on a fixed income to pay for medical treatment. It's hard enough for those of us that aren't on a fixed income.
Enable people with excruciating pain / terminal illnesses to die with dignity. Where's the logic in keeping people on expensive life support at the end of their lives when there is no hope for survival? What about focusing on people who have a chance for a productive life - i.e. granting them some BASIC healthcare?

When Christian conservatives start focusing on world hunger and world poverty - stop supporting wars that necessarily include bombing civilians, then they can be taken seriously. Until then, it's just words ...
Cathexis, most of thise things already exist in Europe to a greater or lesser degree. But by Death with Dignity do you mean voluntary euthanasia? We don't have that (yet).
Very well said AMSearch! You're so right!
Right on, mojo. I still don't understand this "culture of life" business. Does this mean that people with opposing or conflicting viewpoints are supporting a "culture of death"?
Let me first say that I think that conservatives focuses on the three you mentioned Cathexis: abortion, euthanasia, and stem cell research, because these individuals (OR surposed future individuals) are completely helpless; they can't speak for themselves. That being said, how can we talk about valuing life and not being allowed to decide life or death when we pass judgement on the lives of so many criminals each year? Someone who is truly Pro-life values ALL human life.
This is the 1st time I've heard of "Culture of life". It does seem hypocritical when so many lives are lost in the governments overseas policies.
(then when you read the words "culture of life" imagine George Bush over-enunciating them.. now hear him doing it over and over until it's lost it's meaning and only The Stupid can believe what he's saying. That's what's going on out there.)

If Bushy comes out in favor of a "Culture of Life," you can be sure there is plenty of death on the way.
