A UK bank has recently been using Barry White's classic 'My First My Last My Everything' in one of their ads.

Do you find that the use of such classic songs an affront to the memory of these great artists or is nothing sacred in the pursuit of profit?

COMMENTS:
Yes. By and large, they are appealing to the nostalgia of their 'target' group. Unfortunately, if I've heard a song long enough in a certain context (such as James Brown's 'I Feel Good' about laxatives), it rather ruins it for me.

After a while, it comes to ruin a song for me. Thanks to Chevy, I can no longer listen to "Like A Rock".
