Probably because the population of America is some 70 percent White, and it is perhaps more interesting to this majority to hear about harm to their group than others. Or maybe it's as simple as de-facto racism. Or both. Or neither.

It is not just that they are white and pretty, it is that they are ONLY white and pretty.
If an alien landed and watched, listened to, or read the media they would try to nab themselves a pretty white girl.
Aren't there any pretty black, Asian, Indian whatever women ever going missing? If so that means it kind of sucks to be a pretty white woman. If not that means that there should be an examination of why WE NEVER HEAR OF NON-WHITE PRETTY WOMEN GOING MISSING.
