I don't think that regulation will help with this problem. I don't think there should be a federal fatty secretary. When there is so much choice people will make bad choices. Besides taxes and restrictions are sure to be met by an overwhelming McDonald's SuperSized Lobby. I wonder too, don't people have a right to choose? I mean, aren't there guarantees to being fat? It is surprising that so many are so fat even though most of the "sex symbols" in this country are fairly thin and/or fit.
LOL@federal fatty secretary
Give a tax credit for people who have a certain target height/weight ratio. Thanks.
Griffin's carrot is a much better solution than any possible sticks.
We can't police the minds of anyone, unless we really want Big Brother to live and thrive in our lives. All that we can do is to teach our children good eating habits as soon as they're capable of understanding, and to tell them not to follow the examples of their elders. In my case, that's 24/7/365 work, what with my insane cookie habit.

Well, we could have a three strikes and your out law. "Ma'am, please put down that burger, otherwise you're going to jail."

Nothing. Let people kill themselves in their own way. They can pay extra for their medical expenses, just as smokers do, or anyone else who isn't 100% healthy. Besides, those studies are misleading. By the national standard lance armstrong and arnold schwarzenegger are both obese, clearly they need to change the way they figure these numbers.
If you expend more calories than you eat, you will lose weight. If you eat more calories than you expend, you will gain weight (absent an unusual metabolism). No diet pills, no miracle cures. Just burn more calories than you eat. Here's how you can realize this is all a matter of motivation: If someone followed you around with a gun, and you knew for a fact that if you ate more than 1200 calories a day, you would definitely not exceed this amount. So, it's a matter of motivation, eh? Thanks for the thoughts.
^should read "...if you ate more than 1200 calories a day, they would kill you."
Not my problem. Let people figure out their own problems.
shut macdonalds and get some fuckin exercise
Gotta make it a War. If it's not a War, there's no point.
Oh, wait . . . the "wars on" usually fail. You'd think Bush and Rumsfeld would've remembered that . . .
