COMMENTS:
I used to work as a volunteer at a homeless shelter, and I know how perilously close any average American family can come to being homeless, as simple as two missed paychecks or one serious family illness. It's an issue that needs adressing far more readily than any other the evangelical right can come up with.
ending hunger
Hmmmmm. "Moral values," eh? Lots of those: hard to prioritize as "most important" to me. Seems like their importance changes as I encounter real life: Care and responsibility, fairness and equality, freedom and courage, fulfillment in life, opportunity and community, cooperation and trust, honesty and openness. If I had to choose just one of these as "most important to me, it would be "truth." Without truth, you cannot know or practice the other moral virtues. Interesting ballot. Thanks.
I think right to life in general is the most important-from conception to natural death. Ending racism is also important. I don't like the ballots on here that discriminate against religion, etc.
Setting a good example for my daughters. I know so many people who have cheated the system to get Free housing, Section 8, etc. One person managed to get permanent SSI by having the doctors say she is basically TOO STRESSED OUT to get a job - HELLO?! We all know that it is equally (if not harder) to get any kind of assistance from the government so that situation just blows me away. What makes me furious is that I pay taxes for these people to abuse the system and sit on their pathetic, lazy asses while I go to work and miss my kids all day. But I would NEVER show my kids that there is any other way to get through life, other than doing things fairly and without cheating. Now if only we had a decent President to back that up..
Fairness.

SFLibra: CEO's of fortune 500 corporations, they cost the average taxpayer around 1,200 dollars a year whereas the poor cost you around $2 annually. They do this by taking large grants to keep jobs in America and then they outsource them anyway.
Yes, my job was just outsourced to Salt Lake City. Thank you Intercontinental Hotels! Nothing better than trying to get information from someone who has no fucking clue! Damn.. apparently I'm going to have serious issues with the word "outsource" now.
See how important Saving The Environment IS NOT? This is quite quite dismaying. Humanity is simply NOT getting the environmental message (until it's way too late)
I beleive in stopping promiscuity. It is disgusting.
