I refuse to give neg karma for what people say. i feel much happier thrashing it out with them. karma solves nothing and does indeed get people angry. especially when they are being jerks too and their karma is higher than yours.
Some users appear to like getting negative karma!
The last time I gave a ballot or a response negative karma, that person dropped the same on me, without the slightest justification.

I've given people bad karma, but I never do it just because I don't like them. The main reason I do it is when someone makes a poll or makes a comment for no other purpose then to piss people off. It's not personal when I give it. I've given a person I don't like bad karma for one thing, then good 1 minute later for another.
I think my name just attracts bad Karma :(
I barely ever give negative karma out because it's useless. It doesn't change that person unless they strongly care about their rating. Most people who deserve negative karma don't care about their rating.
Most of the negative karma I've had wasn't for making 'mistakes', it was due to disagreement (for which you're not supposed to give bad karma).
