Yes they are annoying hypocrites, but this war is a mistake and no one should die for it.
I would agree with RG. However, I might take a slightly different take on this. Sometimes, a person who might advocate war may not have served in the military by choice or by being disqualified. Sometimes, a "chickenhawk" may be correct. But, I do tend to have more respect for someone's opinion on the war or how it is going, based on whether they served or not. That is why I tend to give more weight to what John McCain might say, rather than Dick Cheney. However, Rumsfeld did serve and he and McCain have disagreements. On the other hand, sometimes those that have served are more in favor of a war or criticize those who fight it. Example: Vietnam. What I don't have a lot of patience for are people of a draft age who are pounding their chest about the war but are not willing to serve. War is never easy or fun. I've had an uncle and granduncle both taken prisoner in a war. Regardless of the war, I do have the utmost respect for those who choose to serve their country. It is a big sacrifice they are making whether peace time or not.
Buk-buk-BUKKAWWWWK! Seeing Sean Hannity in army fatigues would make my lifetime. I hate the thought of anyone dying in a war predicated on lies as much as the next man, but the thought that those dying are stupid enough to KNOW that the lies are there and still be willing to lay down their lives- I won't cry. Particularly if it means that the five friends I have over there now stand a statistically better chance of coming back alive for it.
They'll just change their citizenship to avoid it.
