COMMENTS:
i read and also saw an interview that said that in mexico, many people look down on people with dark skin. they also have a phrase "he works like a black man," and the mexican government tried to say it was meant as a compliement, but they interviwed people on the street who said it was an insult and that is how it is meant. sounds to me like they have some serious issues with race relations and tolerance in mexico.
I really don't care what mexicans do, this is one area where we ought to mind our own business. I read in the paper this morning that most senators and representatives had come out against this, and I thought to myself: don't they have anything better to do?
Racism isn't a national province. Unfortunately, it's a worldwide thing.
None of my business. Let Mexico deal with its own issues. We have plenty of our own.
I agree that is why I added the second choice
Mexico isn't part of the United States. Who gives a shit?
Applerod, that's why he added the vote, don't care. Mexicans also really don't like people who don't speak Spanish.

Yes. That comment wasn't directed at anyone.
Mexicans think that all blacks are foriegners.
I give a shit. Mexico clearly is not part of the US, but we do have that little treaty with them (NAFTA), and that even smaller border. And that argument would be sufficient for me were it not for Mexico constantly opining on our policies. Vicente Fox has implied several times that Americans are racist when it comes to illegal immigration, so why shouldn't we have an opinion when they consistently denigrate a race of people?
Let's see, Europeans stole Mexico from the natives, some of them mixed but those that didn't are in control of the government. The US took some of the land they stole and put it to good use. Now the descendants of the Europeans who originally stole that land say that it is rightfully part of Mexico.
Ok multi culturists, explain this one. On the one hand every culture is equal and we can't judge them by our standards, right? We've all heard that line trotted out more than once. But on the other hand black americans have a constitutional right not to be offended. So should we respect their rights not to be offended or should we respect mexicos own unique culture?
thc2883 Mexico sold that land that the US paid millions for. In those days that was a hell of a lot of money. So stop saying those lies that it was stolen. The paper work was done and it was legal.
