COMMENTS:
we all now know there was no threat to the middle east by iraq and the war was a huuuuge mistake, but now we are there we must make it work or face a humiliating defeat in the war on terror
How many Americans died in WWII and WWI? I bet that you'd have said vack than, that the German U boat attacks on American ships is legitimate response for "US unconditional support of the Allies". Wait... oh, right, British, French, Russians aren't jewish, so it's worth "defending" them. I think that quarter of a million jewish soldiers died in the fronts of the allies in WWII, for countries who couldn't even shift bombers squad to bomb Aushwitz and save hundreds of thousands of Hungarian jews, and instead, bombed Dresden with those airplanes, and killed tens / hundreds thousands of Germans. If you can't see the real reasons of Iraq war, you can think of the casualities in this context.

Oh, and I am just waiting for Yosi to label me a blond haired, blue eyed Christian Aryan, which is another favorite tactic of Israel.
NO. We've been treating Israel as the 51st state of the Union for too long. I am not, repeat, not, an anti-Semite; and to brand all Israelis as Sharon clones would be as bad as branding all Americans as Bush clones. But enough is enough. It's been nearly 60 years. They need to fight their own battles ... and we need focus on our own business, not theirs.

What about the lessons of WWII? They died too? You wouldn't do it all over again if needed? If " The answer to the ballot is that no, the loss of one American or British life is one too many to defend Israel. " but it was worth it to go to war for Poland, France and Britain, doesn't it mean that Israeli lives worth less? And that's in case this war was soley a war to defend Israel. CouchGnome will never be able to understand that, and you're going there too. So you both can think of the situation that way. You know that even Zionists from Israel eventually joined the fight under British command? Do you have any doubt that had Israel exist back than, it would have been the first to fight?

but it was worth it to go to war for Poland, France and Britain, doesn't it mean that Israeli lives worth less? by Yosi on Jul 09, 2005 No, Israeli life is just as precious and valued as all life. The problem is, Israel creates many of its own problems. I just don't think its worth continuing this argument. To answer your question: No, Israel is not a nation I would eve want to go to war for. Never, ever. I'm sorry if that seems callous. You know what, maybe if Israel changes its policies, then yes, maybe I would. The US needs to change its policies too. However, I am of the belief that it is Israel that directly influences our government.
"The problem is, Israel creates many of its own problems." And Europe hasn't? Yosi is right.
"The problem is, Israel creates many of its own problems." And Europe hasn't? Yosi is right. by Republican_RightWing on Jul 09, 20 In your opinion he is right. In my opinion he is wrong. You are a staunch hater of Europe and lover of Israel. I am less a lover of Israel and more a truster of Europe. See, polar opposite views and polar opposite mind sets. Yosi is wrong.

" So, when Britain was in its imperialistic peak, controling the lives of about a quarter of the world's population, their policies are good enough "to be worthy of" your intervention. The battle for Britain itself was won long before the US decided to enter the war. The first thing the US did in the war, is to secure Britain's (and free France's...)imperial rule over North Africa. Is that worth one American life?

God help America more like, you have a pack of immoral, prevaricating, war mongering criminals ruin... sorry, running your country right now. Vote them out at your next election!
Couchgnome, I thought this war against Arabs was focused on killing all those blood thirsty Muslims that you seem to hate so much.
Kaiser, why do you support the terrorists?
Voted : yes
