Another excerpt: "The normally robust Israeli-US defence ties have been shaken in recent months by Pentagon anger at Israel’s sale of advanced weaponry to CHINA. Israeli Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz is due to make a fence-mending visit to Washington next week. The Bush administration has also voiced misgivings at Israel’s construction of a vast barrier through the West Bank, fearing it could imperil future talks with the Palestinians." Definitely food for thought.
Why the hell should we bail them out on this one?

And right now their planning a major offensive against Gaza, so it won't even be a peaceable withdrawal, more like a final assault before the pullout.
It would be par for the course on this one. The US basically paid off Egypt and Israel to get them to agree on peace. Bribery always helps.
You're absolutely right. There should be a different arrangement regarding everything.

I don't see why they need that much money. But no, I'm not willing to give any nation that much for something they could pay for themselves.
I don't understand what Israel's pullout has got to do with the US, other than Israel wants some other country to foot the bill.
HELL NO!
OH MAN! I'm and Israeli jew and you don't know nothing unless you visited us. Israel desperatly needs money, think about it: a little nation that fights constant terrorism for 5 years, still is able to be a dominnent country in economics and politics. Israel does need the money and would use it wisley. I guess most of you know that your precious tax money went in the past to osama bin laden's resistent group to the russiens and was used to 911 cases... quite ironic if you ask me...
