COMMENTS:
They should feel sympathy for us having to see and hear their bones break! They should realise this before they do something that crazy!
It depends. If it's something that involves skill, I would hope the person succeeds. But if the guy is driving a snowmobile off a mountain rock face, over a crevasse while facing backwards, that's just plain idiotic.
I don't see people who don't want to stay cooped up in their houses all the time and who want to live an adventurous life as any less deserving of sympathy when they get hurt.
^^ I agree.
Maybe it's because I'm so frickin' decrepit, but watching the XGames is, to me, funnier than a Family Guy marathon. If you have a functioning brain and you still choose to take potentially lethal risks then, IMO, you DESERVE to be laughed at. Sympathy? Not a CHANCE.
Extreme sports and adventures are great but for some, like mountain climbing, it seems they should foot the bills that are often necessary to rescue/recover their frozen butts.
It depends. I would feel sympathy for a bungie jumper who was hurt because of a freak accident at a common site like a theme park, but the guy who's jumping from random places and doesn't measure the distance properly only got what was coming to him.

Not unless they were dicking about, no.
