Thats incredible!China is the biggest source of piracy in the world. To be honest,I buy pirated DVD movies, all made in China.I know its wrong but I cant help it because the pirated CD is $5.25 while the original CD is $18 here.So y'know...

That is outright stealing. I think the reason they do focus on the US though is that they really can't do much about it in China.

But Drinkaholic, the quality is usually dreadful, it's worth paying the extra for the higher quality original, and you're helping the industry into the bargain.

Ken, dont you think that it would be better if the music industry lowered the price of cds? Each unit costs them between 10 to 15 cents of an euro. They sell it to the public at 18/20 euros. They are bloody asking for bootlegging!
by seamus on Mon Aug 22, 05 2:23pm [+]

The materials cost 10-15 cents. All of the labor involved is what raises the process.
by cdubatrc on Mon Aug 22, 05 6:02pm [+]

cdubatrc, if they charged 10 euros/dollars for a cd , they'd still make a bundle of money and bootlegging would be reduced very very considerably
