How low can you go death row what a brother once again ... Remember if a fresh war started it would go through the roof!!! food for thought!
And we've got a war in the wings: Iran!
Never went down in my opinion.
What never went down? Your personal approval rating, or are you saying the polls are incorrect?
To the lowest level of any President in US history.
It will get as low as the mainstay of Bush support.. those who will support him no matter what he does, I would say around 22%.
He seems ok with me Cranks, unlike our weak hanger-on PM and his party, Bush seems to have his head screwed on the right way. From what i heard he created tens of thousand more jobs, he is opposed to gay marriages, protective of western freedom and he has shown zero tolerance to terrorism including actions of the IRA, wheras Tony Blair and the Labour party, who is the most Liberal Leader we have ever had can just continue to ban our freedom of speech & our culture piece by piece for fear it might upset minorities - where will it all end?
From what you heard DWright, you mean you didnt actively find out for yourself, aint democracy grand.
I agree with Steelhamster. It simply couldn't fall any lower than his hard-core constituency--which is kind of a grey area. It's hard to imagine it dropping too much further.
Guy's right too, WAR will get it way up again :D

It all depends...how high gas price will go or how low mutual fund will go and how many more soldiers will be slained in Iraq
I can't see it dropping below 30% since that is his hard-core supporters who would support any action he did even if it was invading Canada or rounding up political dissidents and putting them in camps.
d_wright: "Bush seems to have his head screwed on the right way" Is that a fact? "The relations with, uhh — Europe are important relations, and they've, uhh — because, we do share values. And, they're universal values, they're not American values or, you know — European values, they're universal values. And those values — uhh — being universal, ought to be applied everywhere." —George W. Bush, at a press conference with European Union dignitaries, Washington, D.C., June 20, 2005 Cranky, the problem isn't Bush, it's the fact we live in a country where someone could actually believe an idiot like this is an acceptable choice for the presidency of the United States. This idiot shouldn't have rose past the level of dog catcher, yet he's the president of the United States.
His father made a good "dog-catcher" have you seen Dubya's mama??? mawahahahaha :P
Too many variables to caluculate this. If current conditions prevail, there is no bottom in sight. Still, GWB is crafty, and who knows what extremes he might go to in order to rehabilitate his popularity. I'm betting on some kind of "surprise" close to the mid-term elections. Perhaps a bombing campaign in Iran? An America city obliterated by a terrorist attack that might have been prevented...well, we just don't know how low these guys will go. If you will lie to put American lives in jeopardy, I cannot imagine the level of cold-heartedness that requires.
Guy's right too, WAR will get it way up again :D by Jyl on Aug 28, 2005 1:09pm Winning a war will. Losing one won't. He has to start another one to keep going, but hitting Iran straight off would backfire very badly. He has to have a war with some other nation first, "started by them other dudes" first. I'm betting the DPRK (North Korea), with an incident involving that old aircraft carrier that the US Navy wants to get rid off, but which the Japanese govt wants the USA to keep. If the DPRK can be provoked into sinking it, the US Navy can get a new carrier to replace it with Japanese govt money to pay for it, and Bush will have a popularly supported short war. Short because there's no way that the US military could invade the DPRK, and neither side will want the full version. After that, maybe the USA can consider Iran, riding on their propaganda victory.
