No. Americans have been too indoctrinated into thinking that if the government needs more money all it needs to do is raise taxes. Yes, that will do the trick, but you might also want to consider the arcane concept of 'cutting spending'. Let's say you have a certain income and you become accustomed to that income. Then you lose your job and get another one at half the salary. Do you continue living as you once did and act shocked when you go into debt? Or do you compensate by spending less money? It's such a simple concept, I don't see why it baffles so many people.
I agree herzog, spend less money, if someone would tell Washington that problem will be solved
