"STAYING THE COURSE IS NOT A STRATEGY, IT IS JUST A SLOGAN." - GENERAL WESLEY CLARK. AGREE / DISAGREE?

Here is the context, from General Clark's Democratic Radio address on Saturday:

"Mr. Bush is long overdue in providing a plan to achieve Iraqi military sufficiency, to build domestic political consensus inside Iraq around a new government, to achieve regional political stability around Iraq, and to finally achieve an efficient reconstruction effort in Iraq.

"Basic questions: How many capable Iraqi forces do we need before we can bring our troops home? How are we going to forge a political consensus between those quarreling factions in Iraq? And what is our strategy for neutralizing the threatening and armed militias there?

"How can we do a better job with less corruption in the reconstruction of Iraq? And, how can we make Iraq's neighbors a part of the solution, instead of a source of the problems inside Iraq?

"Staying the course is not a strategy, it is just a slogan. What we need to do is change the course and put in place a real strategy that will not only bring us success in Iraq, but will restore to the United States of America the moral authority we've lost through our missteps over the past three years."

Agree. It is a sloganeering way of saying 'Don't question us.'

General Wesley Clark the man who almost started the only armed conflict between western forces and Russians in Kosovo.

If it wasn't for a brave British Colonel refusing to fire on the Russians this POS would of undone 50 years of somewhat peaceful standoff.

Also he is the kind smart germenal that was in charge of Delta Force that killed 40 women and children for the Clintoon administration.

His candidacy was funded and supported by both Hillary and Bill as a way to draw support away from Dean and Kerry,

and when Hillary is nominated Clark will be the VP.

And by the way this scumbag was a Republican right up until 2003 and only changed when he thought he might have a better political career in the service of his master Clintoon.

He is a worthless human being with no values whatsoever, and would gladly suck off a dog to get political power.

You know, General Wesley Clark was one of the few Democrats I wanted to see go for president in '04. The Democrats would've had a better chance with him, and would've probably won if he got the spot. He's got a good record when you compare him to Dubya, and even John McCain. I hope he goes again in '08, I wouldn't want to see H. Clinton win.

About the quote: It's shouldn't be a strategy because that can often mean 'Never change' and that 'never change' policy that the Bush administration is enforcing is what's making him look like a failiure. He's made tons of mistake that he'll never admit to

However - inter_regnum, if someone else besides Clark had said it, would you agree? That was the ballot's premise.

Thanks.

No actually I don't agree with it just because it is Clark doing the saying.

Didn't mean to hijack your ballot to make a point about Clark, but seriously this guy is one of the most slimiest pols out there. And yes that includes Lil' dickie who I can't stand at all. Or Tom DeLay for that matter.

^ Hee Hee! Would that it were as exciting as you imply!

Seriously, I have chronic insomnia at the moment. My dad is staying with us, and I am in a constant state of anxiety about his health.
