no, nothing exciting or supernatural in this town
I live in B'ham not Ashville but it's the only place I know of that has a scary rep.
Of course an old boy friend & I drove around it & didn't see anything.
According to the 'Magical Atlas of Britain', there is supposed to be a dolphin like monster called the 'Grampuss' that sits under a tree in the local church. I've yet to see him, but I'm always on the lookout.
...but I wouldn't say that's particularly scary, more like comical.
...having said that, a Grampus is actually a type of Dolphin in reality, obviously this is some special, rare kind, that lives on land, in Wiltshire...under a tree.
Blood Road in Metamora, MI at night is supposedly a hotbed for all kinds of bizarre stuff.

I live less than a mile from Hunters Point where there are shootings all the time.
^ I think he's talkin' bout scary as in ghosties, SF. Woooo! Woooo! *puts the willies up SF* ;OP
The whole village of Kirtland, Ohio. There is an urban legend about the Melon Heads. A witches grave on one of the corners of crossroads. Gravity Hill, where your car will go up-hill on it's own if put in N. A true story of a cult who murdered 5 people in 1989. A small red church with an upside cross out front.
Not near my house, but we were at some other kid's house one Hallowe'en. There is a cemetary accross the street. The two oldest brothers were acting like idiots and they put on sheets and ran through the cemetary. They came back white as the sheets they were wearing and crying because they saw some actual apparitions.
Voted : The prison
We live by a prison, and not far from many ghost towns, we live in the Mojave Desert so besides riding dirt bikes and camping you can always go ghost hunting
Or if you're feeling brave you can catch rattlesnakes!
There's one of our neighbors now
have you ever hear about the wingston house???
I live about a 1/2 mile from blood on brocker road, and i have seen some wompuscats (unidentifyable animals) while hunting in early morning or at dark. Also strange roar/crying noises have been heard by me and other family members and my 2 dogs (german shephard and newfoundland) were afraid to go outside after one of the noises, and they are outside all day and have killed deer and are usually fearless. I do believe there is definatly something strange about the area around there.
