COMMENTS:
To explain: Back then, "New Year's Day" was March 25 -- thus, the day after March 24, 1500 was March 25, 1501. January 1 wasn't recognized as New Year's Day until the 1750s.

As for not factoring in Leap Day, that's part of the massive trickery of Leap Day -- every four years, a date (Feb. 29) is added; however, since that isn't accurate, that extra date is suspended every 100 years; however, since THAT isn't accurate, it's added back on every 400 years (thus, a February 29 in 2000). So in 1500, there was no February 29.

They 'sprung ahead' an entire year?

Ah, I didn't want to go back to 2005, anyway.

March 27, 2005. I'm making the assumption that you're pulling of the old "it's a leap year" trick.

"Ah, I didn't want to go back to 2005, anyway."

I don't think the 1500s are ready for your heretical views.
