I'll go with Johnny Cash since he did a song with Joe Strummer.
I like Cash. He was more real (especially when you compare the later music of the two). I think Cash was also ,in his own way, more original.

Cash without a doubt. Elvis was a fu***ng retard. Literally. And he was encouraged to steal black music to make it acceptable for a white market. Cash was a true original in an overcrowded marketplace.

I'm an Elvis fan but i gotta take Johnny. Elvis really blew it with the all the cheesy movies. He should have been making more music.

Johnny made more of a real impact on music we see today, along with the artists and the inspiration, and he wrote most of his hits unlike Elvis
