prediction : political : ARE WE ON THE VERGE OF ANOTHER RED SCARE?

Communism has a well-deserved bad reputation for enslaving nations by allowing the government to monopolize industries. In my opinion absolute communism cannot work, but neither can absolute capitalism, since capitalism is motivated by money and not morality then you could fully expect a crack house to be built next to a preschool under absolute capitalism. Obviously any economy must be regulated and not all industries can afford to be privatized (The Army, Police, firemen etc.) therefore I believe a form of democratic socialism is the most fair to the most people. In my opinion the programs set up by FDR to pull America out of the great depression have already established a form of socialist government in this country, so I don’t see a need to attack people that believe in Socialism. Yet today it seems that more and more people are being attacked as being commie pinko liberals to the point where it appears that America could be on the verge of another witch-hunt. What do you think? Are we on the verge of another red scare?
