It annoys me. Tonight, in a newspaper, the line "We didn't play as hard in the second half as I would have liked to of seen us play." You're writing and/or editing for a newspaper (a college one, but a paper nonetheless); how the fuck don't you catch that?

Shit like that drives me nuts. Stuff like have/of and our/are -- seriously, it's fucking ridiculous. Just because it's commonly pronounced some way doesn't mean it's spelled that way. Fucking think when you type, y'know? WOW!

Does it annoy anyone else when people fuck that up?

The spelling of English is not exactly easy, and variant or simplified pronunciations of words doesn't make it any easier...
"Have" when simplified to '-ve' does sound just like "of".. and, the word can be simplified even more to sound just like "a"...
ergo, "piece of pie" > "piece a pie"...
"would have" > "would've" > "would of" > "would a" (woulda)...
