Some peole like to blame many global problems on one of the above groups.

Of course there is the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

The G8 includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Russian Federation, which combined comprise 66.5% of the global economy. The G8+5 includes those plus China, Mexico, India, Brazil, and South Africa.

The nations that have at least 1% of the world's oil reserves are (in descending order) Saudi Arabia, Canada, Iraq, Kuwait, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Russia, Libya, Nigeria, China, United States, Mexico, Qatar, Algeria, and Norway.

OPEC members include Algeria, Libya, Nigeria, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, and Venezuela.

Belgium, France, West Germany (reunited with East Germany in 1990), Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands (founding members), Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

We are going to go through another global conflict before the little people mentality is finally done away with.

Little people with little conflicts that mean nothing.

We need a world of visionaries who can take planet Earth into the 22nd century.

In reality the US. We shouldn't have to be, and we should give up that role, but that's the way it works. The rest are either unwilling or unable to act (or both).

I suppose by it's mandate the UN should be, but obviously that's not the case (because of them the genocide in sudan will continue as scheduled and Iran will be the newest nuclear power).
