After Pearl Harbor was attaked there were lines of men waiting to fight for their country. Women left there homes to go work in the factories building equipment for the military. I for one can not fight to save my life, but if my country needed me I would be there. Women do not go to combat so I would do something. There are plenty of people who would give of themselves for this country. But we live in a country with a bunch of sissys.

The world would turn sickeningly peaceful, wouldn't it?
by Walken on Mon Apr 17, 06 10:09am [+]

We have had that situation before throughout the world, it has never resulted in war being ended. I don't see anything morally wrong with someone supporting the war and not fighting. People are entitled to their opinion and some may not be physically able to serve. That doesn't make them chicken hawks.

Fiddle:

Those who would serve, but can't, are different than those who cheerlead for war, could serve, but don't.

Fiddle:

I've never suggested that you are a chickenhawk.
by cranky on Mon Apr 17, 06 10:37am [+]

I hope that "sickeningly peaceful" part was sarcastic.. but I do suspect lately that very few people would be happy if there were NO war.
I'm ashamed of being human.
