They support the rights of child rapists to keep on raping kids. They have the right to have sex with kids per the ACLU.
They've got their job to do, just like the rest of us. Sometimes, they act on behalf of a decent, noble cause. Somedays they're complete and utter prats. We *live* with 'em in the House of Truth.
Sometimes they're on the right side of an argument, sometimes they aren't. From time to time they defend people when they have no case, or ignore people who do have a case. But they also defend people with legitimate complaints free of charge, which is a valuable service.
They're certainly not a noble cause themselves because they don't always choose noble causes to fight for.

Nobody's free unless everybody's free. If we strip civil liberties from unpopular people, then all of us who think we're popular will be next.
They're working to maintain the basic freedoms provided in the Constitution.

Wholly inaccurate.
I like some of the things they do, but sometimes they actually work against civil liberties.
