COMMENTS:
What a ridiculopus ballot. Anyone who didnt think "shouting racial slurs" at people was wrong would have to be some form of retard. What are you proving with this ballot?
*ridiculous*
Rape is wrong. Should be brought to trial and punished. Racial slurs are rude. But racial slurs is not a thing for the government to step in and punish unless it includes a direct threat physically or economically to that person.
Spoiled little brats. If they want to act like savages, then they should be treated like savages. And yes, I'm talking about the crackas that alledgedly did this. Givin' us honkys a bad name.
this is an unproven allegation. there is no evidence that they did any such thing.
Unproven or not, I've seen upper-crust, white, college a$$holes behave just as badly as any crotchgrabbin' gangbanger street thug. Let the courts sort this one out and let the media bitch about the racial make-up of the jury. Just try to stay out of the riot zone.
In response to Kev's comment: "Jason Bissey, who was on his porch next door during the party, saw the victim that night. He said Friday that he wishes he had called police at the first sign something was wrong. He saw at least 30 men go into the white three-bedroom house, which Duke officials say is rented by three lacrosse team captains. Bissey saw two women arrive and, after they were in the house 20 minutes, come out. As they got into a car, men shouted, Bissey said. "Some of them were saying things like, 'I want my money back,' " Bissey said. He recalled the racially charged statements at least one man was yelling at the victim. "When I was outside, one guy yelled at her, '... Thank your grandpa for my cotton shirt,' " Bissey said." (The News & Observer) If I'm not mistaken, an eye witness account is often referred to as providing "evidence."
^ so it appears it was one "white" man shouting racial slurs, and not all of them? how many were there total? we all know they wanted thier money back and were yelling that. your ballot says "male college students shouting racial slurs at women." is it student(s) or student? the eye witness told of hearing one guy yell "thanks your granpa for my cotton shirt." clearly he is a pathetic loser. i just like to be clear here though -- it appears that one guy yelled a racist slur. to hear some, it was a crazed crowd of pampered white boys chasing these women down and yelling racial slurs. apparently that is not the case.
Actually, the beginning of this incident was alleged to have started with racial slurs--from more than one person-- being pitched at the women just after they started dancing. "Just moments after she and another exotic dancer started to perform, she said, men in the house started barking racial slurs. The two women, both black, stopped dancing. 'We started to cry,' she said. 'We were so scared.'" (News & Observer)
^ again, this is the victim telling us this. the other account is that she started to cry because she arrived so drunk she could not perform, so the male students got angry. they deny using racial slurs at this point. this is what the law is about -- who is the more credible and believable witness. its her word against theirs. have you already tried and convicted these students? anyone who does so is a racist. think about that one.
i will also be honest and tell you that being a lacrosse player, i have a tendency to want to belive them -- not saying i do or don't, just being honest. thats why i would not be called for jury duty on this case.
Actually, from rereading the ballot, the real question to me, seems to be, have you already exonerated the lacrosse players because you so strongly identify with them?
^ cranky, knock if off. seriously. the real question is this -- if the rape did occur, was it racially motivated or because some jerks raped a woman. woman being the key word here. i haven't exonorated anyone, but as ususal with you, you've tried and convicted them. talk to me when your raional and not racially motivated.
and buddy, i don't identify with them -- as i clearly said, i'd like to believe they are innocent. you do know that just because they are white males, they may actually be innocent, right? hard concept for you. question -- when they called the 'service" for these girls, did they say "send us some black girls." probably not. you're just pissed because once again, the attempt to invoke race in a rape case has failed. this is about alleged rape and nothing more.
This entire Duke thing has been a powderkeg that proves one thing to me. Humanity should be lower on the food chain.
Silly twits.
Kev: This ballot has absolutely nothing to do with the alleged rape. It's about college culture and the boundries on zany "college behavior." And two things brought it up: 1) some editorialist actually wrote an editorial defending the behavior of the asshole who wrote that nasty e-mail about murdering and skinning dancers, saying it was understandable because he was just behaving like you'd expect a male college student to behave, and 2) at the college I'm associated with, awhile back some asshole white boys were standing outside their fraternity and for fun, started shouting racial slurs at a hispanic guy who was walking past. Unfortunately for them, the guy just happened to be a faculty member at another school, and the incident made the papers, and the fraternity got it's little privileged wrist slapped.
2) at the college I'm associated with, awhile back some asshole white boys were standing outside their fraternity and for fun, started shouting racial slurs at a hispanic guy who was walking past. by cranky on Apr 24, 2006 2:17pm so for all your unfounded accusations that herzog is a racist, in this ballot you say "white boys" pointing out their race and in another, you say "pink boys." who's the one obsessed with race? if the "boys" stanind outside had been black or hispanic, tell us what descriptive words you would have used in that comment? none -- because you would have no comment. careful who you call racist because what stares back at you in the mirror may surprise you.
Kev: This ballot has absolutely nothing to do with the alleged rape. It's about college culture and the boundries on zany "college behavior." by cranky on Apr 24, 2006 2:17pm this also exposed you. so what you're saying is, the alleged rape is inconsequential and that its one guy making one racist slur that bothers you. got it. good to know. so answer me this -- if the boys had been black or hispanic and the girls white, what would your reaction be? silence? apathy? you do know that racism can come from any race, right? or in your mind, is it only white people that are racist? why do i think (actually fear) that for you, you will overlook racism against whites by black people, or racism against hispanics by asians, etc. if you're going to be a good liberal, be fair-minded, not racist is your "hatred" of racism.
i also don't think you are a racist, but i'm just trying to make a point.
Kev: I never said the alleged rape was inconsequential. What did you want me to do? Make a ballot that said: "Is it okay for college athletes to gang rape women?" Wouldn't that be a little obvious? And if the situation were reversed, I would still be appalled. However, there are ballotmakers on B&W who would have been "cumming in their Spandex" over the opportunity to put up multiple thinly veiled racist ballots, using such a tragedy as an excuse to spread their message of racial hate.
^ "cumming in their spandex" not a woody inducing picture. i just pictured it and it will haunt my memory for the rest of the day. but yes, shouldn't college boys be allowed to rape and pillage? don't we have rights too?
"And if the situation were reversed, I would still be appalled." That's bullshit cranky and you know it. "However, there are ballotmakers on B&W who would have been "cumming in their Spandex" over the opportunity to put up multiple thinly veiled racist ballots, using such a tragedy as an excuse to spread their message of racial hate." Isn't that what ur doing cranky, crying racist without even looking at both sides of the story. It seems that ur looking for any feeble opportunity to spout off your inane racist bullshit. I dunno if ur aware of this or not Cranky but many of your ballots and comments on here are racist. It's just thinly veiled by Political Correctness.
Voted : Inappropriate behavior
insensitive assh*les
Voted : Inappropriate behavior
Actually sexism is a form of racism because it abuses someone for being of a group not like you. And the above is especially heinous because it adds insult and fear to people already terrorized and assaulted.
