If I were forced to convert to any religion death would be preferable. Why just these two? Or was scientology just an afterthought?

Without a pause. Islam, for all the vileness that has been attributed to it, is still more rational that Scientology. (As if I need some half-baked religion created by a nutjob who moonlighted as a writer of really bad sci-fi to have telekinetic abilities.) As for death- it's overrated. Trust me.
