People here at UI claim it's black and gold. Sorry folks. It's yellow. Take a look at the logo.

There's no shame in having the color yellow in the logo. It doesn't imply "yellowness" -- it's a color, plain and simple.

The logo USED to be black and gold, but the logo was updated to the Tiger Hawk, and the color seemed to change to yellow.

If you want an example of GOLD, check out the football helmets of Notre Dame, Purdue, or UCLA. That color is gold. Iowa's logo is yellow. There's a difference. Sorry, fellow Hawks.
