100% of the illegal immigrants have already committed a crime. They broke the law by coming here. Regardless of what you think of the law - it is the law.
That doesn't mean anything though. You have to factor in actual baseline numbers if you're going to say "most likely." In other words, who is more likely to commit a crime, a citizen of China or a citizen of Luxembourg. Obvsiously, given that there are 1.2 Billion people in China, someone in China is more likely to commit a crime. Plus, you say that fully one third of the Duke University Lacrosse players have a criminal record, but you don't have any stats on the criminal records of the illegal immigrants, so the assertion itself has absolutely not merit.
And Fiddle also points out something you didn't. I think you might need to rethink you're statistical analysis. :)

The logic is flawed in that the Duke lacrosse team has, what, roughly 20 members? That hardly seems like an accurate sample size to compare and contrast with regard to a group which is millions strong.
Fiddle's right in that every illegal immigrant broke American law by coming over illegally. That said, surely cranky was trying to imply that the Duke lacrosse team has committed more heinous crimes on average than illegal immigrants.
Actually, the Duke lacrosse team has 47 members.
However, the argument that every illegal alien is, by definition, a criminal because they accepted the silent conservative invitation to come here and work cheap is a bit of a strawman argument. The same social demographic that is howling about the outrage of illegal immigration is also the same group that has forcefully created a set of circumstances that practically vacuums poor people up from other countries and brings them here to be used and abused.

The federal prisons are hardly choked up with Duke lacrosse players, are they? Now, that Nifong's case against the players appears to be collapsing and it appears that the accuser may have perjured herself, it looks as if the aliens are the sweepstakes winners by a mile.
I'd much rather walk down the streets of Durham at night than parts of downtown Los Angeles, crank.
