I would never have smoked cannabis. Or certainly not as much as I did.

3 Years later, and Im still on medication for depression.

THATS why it annoys me when people mindless cry "legalise it!", with no idea of the potential harm it can do.

^ Depression is not "caused" by smoking pot. It might be your drinking...
After all alcohol is a depressant anyways, and if you are already depressed, it can't do much good for ya.

** Answer to question, I DON"T KNOW! I don't feel unfullfilled, because I get out there and DO things. I might not have all means to be rich, or prettier, ot whatever else. But I test myself, in various ways and I think that makes me a much happier person; by pushing my limits and seeing what I am capable of.

"Depression is not "caused" by smoking pot"

Various studies have shown it IS im afraid Lady. Cannabis is linked to anxiety and depression, as well as various more serious disorders such as schizophrenia and cannabis psychosis. Im afraid your attitude is all too common, the general public really dont have all the facts concerning weed.

Of course, there must already be a vulnerability to such disorders, some people can smoke and drink their whole lives and never get depressed. This is a moot point though as you dont KNOW whether you have a tendency towards the various mental illnesses until you actually begin to suffer from them.

I guess I must hav had a slight tendency towards anxiety and depression without realising it. I certainly used to be a very emotional child. But I severely regret smoking so much dope, as I think there would have been a good chance these tendencies would never have surfaced If I hadnt.

Very true.

^ Insightful lil_ape.

Some of that information you put up, I truely had no idea about. I agree with you, everyone is affected (by example) alcohol/weed or other drugs in a different way.

Who is to say that chemical dependancy (on whatever drug) doesn't have lasting effects? I know, I have been round the block with stuff more than a few times. Sometimes, my memory is off... I have a hard time remembering little things sometimes, not sure if it was due to smoking or not.

However, HAD I been a bit wiser, I wouldn't have indulged in such mass quantities ;)

The prom, because the woman who asked me to go with her (I was too gutless to go, and if you ever see the pic of her I have, you'd whack me. *Twice*) supposedly wore a gown that had to be seen to be believed. A friend of mine who went told me about it, and needed to hold books in front of himself, if you know what I mean.
