Doesn't black attract the sun's rays or whatever?

Black absorbs light and, in the process, heat. Solar cookers use this principle, utilizing a black pan or pot, insid ethe 'oven' to maximize heat exchange.

White? I'd have to hear your reasoning on that assertion.

I know that black aborbs heat (that's why a black car is so hot inside on a warm Summer day). So I'll say black.

Interesting. Maybe black clothing absorbs heat away from the person wearing it too. Didn't think of that.

Just a guess...

Guess that's why they wouldn't let me in at McMurdo.

Black attracts thermal energy, not just light.
I've got a solar water heater on my roof, and boy that gets water hot!
(Insides of its copper-lined thermal-collector panels are painted black)

White. It reflects heat back in.
