What? And the Republicans don't do the very same thing? Yes, Jenny, they do. Instead of making this a Liberal vs. Conservative thing, maybe you should wake up to the fact that ALL politicians do this, regardless of party affiliation. If you think Conservatives don't do the exact same thing you accuse Liberals (Democrats) of doing, you obviously aren't up on current events. And people wonder why nothing gets accomplished in this country? Ballots like this are indicitive of the problem.
Just because the liberals don't support Bush's particular plan does not mean that they want the borders wide open.The simple fact is that Bush's plan is out right amnesty so I agree with the liberals that the plan will only make things worst.
It isn't just liberals, conservatives are doing the same.
Many conservatives AND liberals find themselves on the same side of the fence in this debate about illegal immigration. I mean, how strange is it to find George Bush and Ted Kennedy on the same side of an issue?
The real divide on this issue is between those who support Big Business, and those who want what is best for most Americans.
The fact is that our leaders are puppets of the wealthy. Big Money wants to keep that pool of cheap labor available, and they are apparently going to get it.
