COMMENTS:
Yes of course, but that sort of hypocrisy is tolerated. Rednecks, or white trash, etc are just white people who are at the bottom of society and are poorly educated, right? So can you imagine these enlightened liberals levying the same criticism at poor, uneducated blacks or hispanics? Of course not, that would be racist. But it's ok to throw all the derogatory remarks you want at whites. The exception to this is of course black republicans, they are open for criticism. All these tolerant, most definitely not racist liberals come out of the woodwork whenever a black republican comes in to the spotlight to scream in unison and without shame "get back to the plantation nigger".
^ Ooops, you used the N-word. - bad BAD boy! You're gonna lose Karma points for THAT!
I'm guessing these hypocrites and racists are avoiding this ballot and will likely continue to do so in the future. Too bad.
Perhaps ... although I don't believe those slanders are based on race, so much as 'mindset.' Funny ... you'd think that being the butt of perceived racism would make the folks that take umbrage at 'redneck' more sensitive ... yet so many still succeed in seeing only their side.
Yes, I hate when that happens. It is VERY hypocritical.
No, people who use these labels for others are simply being consistent in their behavior. Any time you use pejorative labels for any person or group of people, you are engaging in prejudice.
People call you all sorts of things, IslamHater, because youre an idiot and have nothing positive to contribute to a serious debate. As to hypocrisy, its odd that people who cry foul are the very people who use insidious racism to justify their small minded and petty existence
it IS hypocritical to complain about people calling names and then call them names But those names mean different things, "racist" is talking about someone who judges people by their ethnic group and "redneck" is just saying someone's kinda backwards and stupid. .Unless, of course, you know that rednecks aren't all bad, I'm proud to've been one before and I wouldn't use the word with any bad meaning :) a "racist" is ugly no matter what.

Calling someone a redneck is more of a putdown than a racial slur. It has more to do with your living condition, where you live, your job, etc...even though most rednecks are white people. It's not as racially oriented as nigger. Calling someone inbred isn't racist because you can easily call a black person or other minorities "inbred". It's not race related.
Actually it means the same thing, it is a put down on someone based on their background or upbringing. If you look up 'niggardly' in the dictionary you will see that it too has a valid definition. People shouldn't use the word redneck to describe anyone. Yet you'll see it all the time on this site. It's a form of reverse racism.
What a crock! So none of you perfect people ever use the term "Redneck?" Please!
