More broken bones come with higher speeds , if the driver wants to risk his life and bones that's one thing, but not fair for those in his way.

100 to 110 mph or so in a well-maintained vehicle with little traffic around is perfectly managable.

I agree with owar. Generally, I'm satisfied with the speed limit. There's about a 400-mile section of freeway here called the I-5 which is pretty much as straight as an arrow, and almost completely absent of human dwellings. I think the speed limit is 75 mph. It should probably be 80 mph, since most people go 85-90 miles an hour.
