Phoebe was her own person, she tried to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing. I have to respect that.

But she was also the toughest of the girls. Remember the episode where Rachel & Monica were fighting? She grabbed them both by the ears and made them stop, telling them that if they were in prison, they would both be her bitches!
