In the sense that they are a state within a state, I think that the Lebanese government would agree (certainly off the record). If they were to allow the government full control of the country, stop terrorist attacks and focus solely on the good things they do like help the poor; they would actually be a positive contribution.
Yes I spoke to a Lebanese Canadian and he hates them for what they are causing.

They are no different than the organized crime gangs and drug cartels in the U.S.

No, I was just pointing that out, as people aren't entirely aware of Hezbollah's crimes. People always mention Israel's crimes, but always refer to Hezbollah as little of a threat to Israel. But they are a threat to their own people, aren't they?

Yes it is a threat, but probaly not as much of a threat as Israeli fighter jets that have blown up at least 350 people, a 1/3 of whom were children.
