They always get a free pass from their own kind now matter how stupid or deadly their behavior is. Being a street cop is really tough and challenging, but wrong is wrong and should not be covered up or tolerated. Voted : Yes I have nothing to add, and nothing I *want* to add. If true, the policeman should be fired and jailed, I don't know why he shot, but 81 times sounds insane. This is disgusting. The police typically use a Modified (Automatic) AR-15 (A modified AR-15 is in all respects an M-16).  This weapon fires 800 rpm. A 3 second burst fires 35 rounds, 6 seconds, 70 rounds. In the video the police fire for about 4 seconds, so, there ya go. Oh, your question: Is this one of the reasons why cops are often referred to as pigs? If you're reference implies are they fascists, I suppose so, but I don't think from the video I would say they were unjustified. I mean, an armed suspect, a police dog down, is threatening to shoot another, was warned multiple times to drop the weapon, Geez, you don't have to be a geneous to figure this out. The guy's an utter idiot.

After they shoot the guy and hit the dog, one of the cops is yelling "God Damn it, you assholes", and starts banging on something. Irony is, he wasn't pissed because they shot the suspect, but because they hit his dog. That's fuck up.

^That qualifies the situation quite a bit. Thanks for the info, passiveson. Pigs. (apologies to pigs everywhere) What goes around comes around, they'll ultimately get there's in the end, if there is divine justice. Voted : In the middle I don't know how to vote...why did they let the dog go in the first place though? He said he was going to shoot the dog! They should have tried talking to him, or having a family member try talking him into taking the gun, or something!
