Wasn't it republican president Abraham Lincoln who abolished the enslavement of African Americans? Wasn't West Virginia Democratic senator Robert Byrd who was a former KKK member? Some Republicans and Democrats are racist, but not all. And racist politicians shouldn't be politicians period, as they hold a bias against many members of the very population they're representing therefore faulting society. I'se gon' plumb leave this 'un 'lone... ;-)

see ballot #129827. This ballot is a parody of their image on the tv due to a noticeable lack of much diversification. I know, I know some of you out there would take this ballot seriously, but I personally think many of their policies may not appeal to a lot of (diverse?) people and it may be reflected when they are gathered together like that... now, if this was a serious ballot...

The Blacks were complaining that the their numbers were DOWN at this year's convention. They said there were 137 Blacks last year, but only 36 this year. I guess the millionares wouldn't give their gardeners & housekeepers time off to attend the convention. Voted : Black People don't like Republicans I think it's the lack of Hispanics that the Republicans should be worrying about, because they are the "growth sector" in U.S. politics over the next few decades, not blacks, who will vote for Democrats 90% of the time, anyway. Asian voters tend to trend about 35-40% Republican, and Bush the younger had over 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2004. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there, with all of the immigration political brawling. I just think that Republicans don't expect to get black votes and have chosen to focus their energies elsewhere with minority voters who might actually vote for them. This makes perfect sense to me, and, historically, blacks have been in the Dems camp since the 1930's or 1940's, at least. Why bother? |
