Man vs. Wild is more of a freak show than a useful survivalist show. Les teaches techniques that are useful to average people lost in the wilderness, which I highly value. Bear teaches a lot of techniques that he learned in the special forces, which may be fun to watch, but are not doable by most people. I won't even bother touching on the authenticity of the experiences that are shown in the shows. I was reading a thread somewhere discussing who was the preferred host and the first person that preferred Bear argued, "Bear has a nice torso without a shirt on." That basically sums up why I prefer Les' program.

Voted : Survivorman Survivorman tends to be a little more realistic on most occasions. Wrap yourself in a raw deer skin to sleep in where I live and you're inviting trouble. Though both do sensationalize for the camera a bit.

Voted : Man vs. Wild Survivorman bores me. Just can't take that monotone. Bear makes it exciting to watch. And his being ex-Royal Navy doesn't hurt. Nate, Bear deals out a few good tips as well.
