this is happening more and more thanks to DNA evidence. After their lives are ruined...do you believe the way I do that they should be given a lump sum of money. just for all the pain and suffering. I mean, what are the chances of them getting a good job?

no restitution
$100,000
$1,000.000
I think of ginger ale
I don't think you can put a price on such a thing.

If there was police or prosecutorial misconduct, those who lied or tampered with evidence should be jailed for the same amount of time. Institute this as law, and you'd see a lot less lying cops.
