I do know what you mean, and this is another great question. Deep in December, it's nice to remember, Although there's snow, the spring will follow. Deep in December, it's nice to remember Without a hurt, the heart is hollow. Mojo is right, but I know exactly what you mean. I have lost many people in my life and sometimes it seems safer to just keep a comfortable distance from people. That way you'll be OK when they are gone - cuz you *know* something bad will happen and they will be taken away. And by taken away I don't necessarily mean by death. Divorce, moving, etc. can also be traumatic. I tend not to get close to people because I want to be by myself. I usually don[t think about whether I'm going to lose them because I'm too busy thinking about how to get away from them in the first place. |
