I'm a southern belle born and raised in Alabama. I'm curious to know what you people think about us. Including stereotypes...a lot of things that you hear aren't true... well for me at least :) not everyone there lives in trailer parks and have no teeth :P

That's just me _Beelzebubba (I was tryin' to compose an ode to Ned Beatty). I live in Alabama. I also play the banjo (got one for Christmas and I've been learning to play it - most of what I play is closer to folk and blues than to country though). Right now I'd say the one word would be fireants. I've got them in my yard. Keep trying to poison 'em and the dadblasted varmints jes' keep comin' back on me. Nasty little critters.

Fort Payne. It's in the northeast. The band Alabama is from here too (although I'm not much of a fan).

Deliverance was based and I think filmed in northern Georgia...much nicer looking terrain than poor ol' Alabama.

and about the klansman remark...the state that had the most klansmen was Indiana.
