Is it 2? One too few. Bushy should be the next one. Wrong two. Clinton was brought up for impeachment, but the indictment never returned. The two names you want are Johnson and one Richard Milhous Nixon. You may have heard of him recently, what with Mark Felt's exposure as "Deep Throat".

Nope I am not wrong. Clinton was impeached and not convicted. Johnson also was impeached and not convicted. The proceedings are in different chambers. It is like being indicted and being convicted. You can be indicted and not convicted just like you can be impeached and not convicted. Of course your nemesis RM Nixon was neither impeached nor convicted, so you are the one that is wrong.

Truthseeker, it is really amazing that you think that Johnson was convicted, and even more amazing that you think Nixon was even impeached. I guess it is true: tell a lie long enough and it becomes the truth

I believe only one President has been impeached. His name is William Jefforson Clinton. It is simple for those of you who actually were awake for American History in school.....the answer is a definitive 2...Andrew Johnson and William Clinton. In both cases, neither President was actually convicted. However President Johnson's impeachment was only voted down by one vote, whereas President Clinton had two counts of impeachment brought neither one gained the majority necessary. The name Nixon was referred to. President Nixon was never impeached...when rumors where beginning to float throughout the House chamber, President Nixon knew the COngress was launching investigations into his affairs. Instead of going through that ordeal...for the "betterment of the country" he resigned. (His words not mine) Until the day he passed, President Nixon did not beleive he did anything wrong, he did his job the way he saw fit. However that is for debate by hhistorians.
