They are always trying to improve perfection, and many believe falsely, they have nothing else to offer.

I see people come into the hospital for plastic surgery and this is the impression they give to me, many are beautiful, but still they aren't satisfied with their appearance

Umm, no lol. Surely they are normally the ones with the biggest heads? Of course some of them are probably putting on a front, but they must be aware of how good looking they are.

Oh, and suprisingly Cranky has stumbled (unintentionally) onto a point worth of note there methinks. If your assertion is true, why do we not see many beautiful women with sad ugly loser men, like Cranky for instance?

Attractiveness to the opposite sex has litle to do with looks.

If you don't have confidence, then why would anyone else find you attractive.

Women are attracted to cockiness and confidence, looks are not that important.

Men on the other hand are far more shallow.

Two things strike me about your comment.

Correct me if im wrong, but surely being attracted to cockiness and confidence is JUST as shallow as being attracted to looks?! If not MORE so! You are basically saying the local jack the lad chav in the pub is gods gift to women!

You can infer anything you like.

Confidence is something people either have or they do not.

Its hard to keep up the pretense if you arent.

I also leave it to others to judge if I am ugly or inexperienced.

Looks are irrelevant for 2 very simple reasons.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

You can be good looking and a complete arse.

Most of my girlfriends are attractive or beautiful. They are good people, but almost all suffer from low self-esteem.

Looks are NOT irrelevant! They may be LESS important than other factors, like personality, sense of humour and kindness etc, but thye majority of the time you wont find out about these things until you speak to someone and get involved with them, normally because you find them initially physically attractive!

Also, a minimum amount of physical attraction is surely necessary to desire sex with that person?! A girl could have the greatest personality in the world, but if she looks like jabba the huts arse im not going to want to shag her!
